A bug, an idea or a question about Pingu Padel – one email is enough, and a real person answers.

The quickest way is from inside the app: tap “Send feedback” on the start screen. You can attach screenshots and, if you like, the technical details of your device – then we see right away what is going on.

Frequent questions

What usually gets stuck on court.

The Americano timer does not ring.

Pingu Padel rings with real alarms, and those need your permission once. If it is missing, the Timer tab shows a warning – tap it, and the app asks again or takes you to the iPhone settings.

The test alarm in the Timer tab shows whether everything works together: it rings after ten seconds, with the same sound as during play.

Turning the phone sideways does not show the dark scoreboard.

The big scoreboard only appears in the Score tab, and only while a match is running. Without a running match the screen stays as it is.

If nothing happens anyway, the iPhone's orientation lock is usually on (Control Center, the lock with the arrow). Then iOS does not rotate the screen.

The Pingu Button does not count.

Check that Bluetooth is on and that Pingu Padel may use it (Settings → Apps → Pingu Padel). Pairing happens in the Score tab, under “New match”.

Press once for your team, twice for the opponents, hold to undo. While a set celebration or the final result is on screen, the first press only closes it.

No match shows up on the Apple Watch.

A match is started on the iPhone, and the watch counts along. Start it in the Score tab, and the watch shows the buttons for both teams.

If the app is missing on the watch, install it in the iPhone's Watch app under “Available Apps”.

The second phone does not ring along.

With a fixed schedule, the second phone takes over the settings via QR code and needs no connection afterwards. If you change the start time or game length after inviting, the devices drift apart – just scan the code again.

In manual mode every game start travels through our server. For that, the app has to stay open on both phones.

Does Pingu Padel cost anything? Do I need an account?

No and no. The app is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases, and it works without an account or sign-in. Scores, tournaments and settings stay on your device. What goes where is described in the privacy policy.

How do I change the language?

Pingu Padel follows the language of your iPhone. To pick another one, go to Settings → Apps → Pingu Padel → Language. The app speaks English, German, Spanish, Italian and French.
